Season 3 of School of Rock was confirmed on December 2, 2016, by Deadline.[1] It had a 20-episode run, which ran for ten months exactly; premiering on July 8, 2017, and concluding on April 8, 2018.
On November 15, 2017, it was officially revealed that Nickelodeon announced that the third season would be the last, meaning that it was cancelled after 3 seasons.[2] Tony Cavalero reported on social media that the series finale was airing on April 8, 2018. The final episode of the series aired on April 8, 2018.
Plot[]
The band is going bigger than ever before! They're starting to get used to fame and being more comfortable as a band. They continue to mix comedy with cast performances of popular and original songs. Though, whilst going on more adventures, they face some more obstacles.

- This season ran for exactly ten months; five months longer than the previous season.
- Filming began on February 28, 2017, and wrapped on September 10, 2017.
- There was a love triangle between Freddy, Summer and Asher, in this season.
- The theme song changed this season. The lyrics were no different, but there were a few edits to the graphics and the cast looked older.
- Tony Cavalero directed one of the episodes (which was revealed via his Instagram), this season. It was the fourteenth episode, Don’t Know What You Got (Til It’s Gone).
- Again, via his Instagram, Tony's wife, Annie Cavalero, guest stars on an episode this season, as Buffy Bonavita; a news reporter.
- In Ricardo Hurtado's vlog, it reveals that Brian Stepanek from other Nickelodeon live-action show, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn worked on the show at some point.[3]
- I Love Rock and Roll served as the season and series finale and marked the first two parter within the entire series.
- This marks the only season to include a Christmas-themed episode which was Jingle Bell Rock.
- Starting with Jingle Bell Rock, School of Rock aired on Sundays @7:30pm.
- This marked the last season of the show.[4]
- Jama Williamson, who portrays, Principal Mullins, was absent in five episodes; Leader of the Band, Minimum Wage, Kool Thing, A Matter of Trust and Not Afraid.
- She is also the only main character in the entire series to have made a cameo in an episode, these episodes are, Hold on Loosely and Do You Want to Know a Secret?.
- Tomika falls out with her friends multiple times this season; particularly Summer.
